Assist Dawn's Family with Medical and Funeral Costs

Hey, my name is Amy Myers, and I am friends with Dawn and Roger Stamey. I have created this GoFundMe to help with the death expenses and hospital bills for Dawn. Dawn had Gallbladder surgery on March 12th, 2024. After the surgery she had constant nausea to where she was unable to eat. At her follow up appointment they suggested some radiology studies to check everything. The results were fine, and they did not see anything. Her nausea continued and she started to lose weight very fast. Then she started to have constant UTI's. Her UTI's were so sever she went to the ER on several different occasions, and they had to give her IV antibiotics then sent her home with oral antibiotics. She followed what the doctors told her to do. They asked for a referral to be sent somewhere so she could try to get help, but nothing was ever sent. For 2 months she was going to the ER for nausea, weight loss, abdominal pain, and UTI's. She was finally admitted to the hospital on June 3rd for her accruing symptoms. While in the hospital she aspirated and then coded. They were able to bring her back and moved her to ICU. The found out that Dawn had become Septic from her UTI infection. over the course of the next 2 weeks Dawn coded 3 more times. They did an ECG on June 10th and seen there was little brain activity. On June 12th, they took her off the ventilator and made her comfortable. She shortly passes away after that. As you can see a large amount of Dawns time over the past 2 months has been in and out of the hospital and constantly being sick. This has made it difficult for her to work and her Husband Roger has had to miss a lot of work.
