Ethiopia Mission in Healthcare
Donation protected
As many of you know, I’ve been invited to represent the Julia Hope Foundation on a trip to Ethiopia this June. I will be joining a group, led by Ken Elsner, who have served in Ethiopia for over a decade. They've provided education, taught skills, supported small businesses, funded an internet cafe to provide fair trade negotiations, built schools and community centers, and just this year, their first hospital.
The staff of the hospital have very little training in crucial areas for service to their community. I will be taking a small team into the hospital to provide training in three areas- infectious disease, trauma care and psychological first aid.
A team of six leaves at the end of June and will spend twelve days in country. Total cost for the trip, including equipment, sustainable supplies, travel and lodging costs is just under $20,000.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly to funding this incredible opportunity. The Julia Hope Foundation is a recognized non-profit and can provide receipts for tax write offs. It's challenging for me to reach out for help, but for an opportunity this powerful, it's worth the struggle.
