Mary's CF hope for Christian School

Donation protected

My Name is Mary Chapman and I would like to share my HOPE to attend Life Christian Academy. I have Cystic Fibrosis, a life threatening genetic disease that can damage my lungs and digestive tract. I was diagnosed at 3 months of age and 10 years later developed Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes.

Here is my daily treatments for those two chronic illnesses-- Up at 5am on school days for treatments that include:
Start of day--15 minutes of inhaled medication through a nebulizer. 30 minutes of airway clearance with a vest & machine to clear thick mucus secretions from my lungs.
All Day--poking my finger 5-8 times per day to check my blood sugars, counting carbs every time I eat, and give insulin through my insulin pump to adjust for low blood sugars. Changing the needle in my abdomen every three days that attaches to my insulin pump.
Taking 4-5 enzyme pills with my food in order to digest it. I only digest 80% of my food, so keeping weight on is a problem.  I take some 50 medications a day, it costs over$5,000 per month. Thank goodness for our medical insurance.
End of Day--Repeat all my morning treatments.

In Junior High, public school, I was stressed; large class rooms of 30-35 students per period. Teachers were so busy with the over 130 students per day, they had little time to give extra help. I was sick a lot, missed a lot of school, struggled to catch up and my grades were falling.
This past April, I was invited to shadow a student at Life Christian Academy in Tacoma, WA.. I loved this school, small classrooms of no more than 18 students per period, caring Christian attitudes of both teachers and students, as well as a family like environment. Special help would be provided for missed days due to illness and long CF clinic and endocrine clinic appointments. School at LCA starts an hour later than public school, allowing me an extra hour of needed sleep before I start morning treatments.
My Parents so not have the funds for LCA tuition, so I am asking for 1 year tuition through GoFundMe and hoping for a scholarship the next 2 years. Please help me by supporting my high school education. My prayer and

HOPE is to balance an excellent High School education in a small Christian School while living my life with Cystic Fibrosis and Diabetes.
