A loving fathers battle with stage 4 brain cancer

Donation protected
As a family of four we are facing our worst nightmare. In September 2023, our lives changed for the worst when my father, Kostas, was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma multiform (GBM), an aggressive and fatal brain tumor.

My father is the life of the party, loved and cherished by everyone around him. At age 55 years old, he was the meaning of healthy with no health problems, working hard and always keeping himself busy and fit.

My loving father started showing symptoms of headaches and fatigue only a week before the diagnosis, so the shock of him being diagnosed with GBM was massive.

Everything after that went by quickly. He was scheduled for major brain surgery just one week after finding out the worst news possible, which the doctor was able to remove 90% of this horrible tumor. Unfortunately, everything didn’t go as planned and my poor father now is unable to move and use the left side of his body.

Until that moment, we held onto the hope that some mistake was made and that the diagnosis will change. Sadly we were informed after surgery that this tumor was indeed GBM and in the worst form possible. We were and still
are, living a nightmare. This is our reality now. This is unfortunately my father’s reality now. An aggressive tumor that takes and takes until there is nothing left.

They gave him options, but no solutions. His time is limited and we need to act fast and do
everything in our power to beat these odds and bring him home.

The way he has changed in only a week is horrifying. A man with three girls and a loving wife, who was always there to help anyone in need is now facing a life where he is the one know needing all the help anyone can give him.

We are already two days post surgery and we are trying to get those left muscles moving so he can regain some mobility. Physiotherapy is the solution we were given so he has a chance of getting some of his old life back.

Radiation and chemo is next on this horrible
journey. We are asking for any help to make these treatments possible.

My mother, a cancer survivor herself is unable to work due to giving her battle with this awful disease. I myself am a kidney transplant patient who has left her job to help in anyway I can but we can not do this alone. We aren’t the luckiest family but we have faith that some light will come our way. Any help is deeply appreciated.

We kindly ask you to share our story. We need all the support and prayer we can get. We want to raise as much as possible to help my father and donate to others who are going through the same thing!

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support and generosity.

Kostas, Nassy and Family.
