Dear Family, and Friends,
Adam Schoonover is a loving father, husband, son, friend, and during high school the most bad ass catcher around! Amy and Adam have been lifelong friends since 1st grade. They have been married for 19 years, and have 2 beautiful girls Taylor (16) and Gabby (13). Adam and Amy have always put their faith in God, and family. Adam has always worked extremely hard to provide for his family. The past year and half have been life changing for him as he had extreme back pain. After many doctors’ appointments on October 7, 2019 Adam was admitted into the ER from excruciating pain. They found a huge tumor (we named FRED..Fu#$% YOU FRED)…that they successfully removed. Adam’s diagnosis is Mucinous Adenocarcinoma stage 2 colon cancer. Unfortunately, since then Adam has had to go back for emergency surgery (October 30) because the original surgery caused infection, and blood clot and caused swelling and excruciating pain. Adam is currently recovering from both surgeries, and meeting next week with his oncologist to get a plan of further treatment. Adam will have to have more chemotherapy, and has a long road of recovery ahead of him. This leaves all of the financial responsibility on Amy to provide for this family, and pay the ongoing medical bills.
Adam, Amy, Taylor, and Gabby need our help. The medical bills are starting to come in and Adam hasn’t worked over a year due to his pain and surgeries. Amy is on FMLA and not receiving full pay, and Taylor is working part time to help, even though she is still in high school and on the cheer team. Let’s help this family keep their home, and afford these medical bills so that Adam can get the medical treatment needed for FRED to NEVER COME BACK!
Any contribution is a huge help and goes directly to their family to afford monthly bills, medical bills, and future treatment bills.
Ya’ll … let’s just face it. This is our “ROCK” family. This is the family we all aspired to be like and look up to. Even through all of this heartache and pain they have put this in God’s hands to heal and help them recover. This is just a chapter in this amazing family’s story.
