Donate to help Adonis receive hyperbaric treatment

Hello to all, my name is Quanae` and I`m asking for help on behalf of my son, Adonis. I am requesting help to cover the cost of hyperbaric oxygen treatment. HBOTs have been proven effective in repairing tissue damage by enhancing the body's natural ability to heal. Unfourtnetly, these treatments aren't covered by insurance to treat brain-related injuries. Treatment of this nature shows the best results if acted upon within the first few years of injury. If we can reach our goal quickly, he can start treatment as soon as April 2023.

My son was born in April 2021 two months early due to fetal stress. He had an extremely high heart rate and with my family medical history, it was emergent for me to have him. Adonis had to be resuscitated after coming out of the womb. I am not sure how long he was without oxygen before being delivered. However, between no oxygen in the womb and the time it took to intubate him, it caused life-changing side effects. The worst of it wasn't over yet though. My son suffered with a brain bleed that caused his frontal lobe to shift due to the severity of the hemorrhage. The brain bleed cause significant damage to both hemispheres of his brain. The severity of the brain bleed and multiple surgeries to correct it along with the lack of oxygen has impacted Adonis's life tremendously.

Although he is almost two, Adonis isn't operating at the development of a child his age. He isn't walking, talking, crawling or able to sit up on his own. He also has cortical vision impairment caused by the tissue damage done to his brain. He has significant cognitive, behavioral and communicative delays. Although he has early intervention therapies such as physical, occupational and speech therapy his progress is truly limited. With these treatments and therapies, we believe Adonis may be able to have a chance to function at the level of children his age.
