ALCA Trinity-Fort Henderson Project

Donation protected
The Athens-Limestone Community Association (ALCA) is proud to open the new Pincham-Lincoln Center at the Trinity-Fort Henderson Complex. The renovation  of the former Trinity High School has been years in the making. Now, the community center serves youth and adults with educational training opportunities.

ALCA's next project will be to recreate and honor Fort Henderson, a Union fort where black soldiers fought for their freedom. ALCA is putting together plans now for what Fort Henderson will look like.

The ALCA is also selling a historical book about the Trinity School. Holding The Fort, by acclaimed author Charlotte Fulton, is a book that shares the intimate story of how self-sacrificing white missionary teachers came to establish schools for freedmen after the Civil War. The book is $40 and can be bought at the Limestone County Archives and Athens-Limestone Visitors Center.

ALCA still needs your donations!
