Alysa's Breast Cancer Treatments

Hi everyone. Alysa, my sister, was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and Ductal Carcinoma In-Situ. I am creating this fundraising page to help raise money for Alysa and Blake as they navigate breast cancer treatments. Alysa will be undergoing 1+year of chemo treatments, a double radical mastectomy, radiation, in addition to other procedures and medications she will need to evaluate, treat and get rid of this awful disease.

 

Alysa and Blake, and big sister Charleigh, welcomed baby Asher the beginning of September. One week after brining Asher home, Alysa and Asher contracted COVID and Asher was admitted to the PICU for observations. Following this, the family took time to adjust to a life of 4 with two children two years old and under. In November, Alysa had her OBGYN look at a lump in her breast and everything spiraled from there.

 

Alysa starts the cancer treatment process with her port placement on December 16th. She will undergo 4-5 months of intensive chemo to shrink the size of the tumor before considering surgery and radiation.
