Annie's Legacy and Celebration of Life
Donation protected
Hi friend-
If you ever met Annie, you met an amazingly positive and joyous woman. She lived an amazingly full life of travel and focusing on her ten year old son, Andrew.
Last Monday Annie went to the hospital with unknown pain. What they initially thought was gallbladder stones revealed much more in imaging. An aggressive breast cancer had spread to several parts of her body and shown no signs until it had reached the liver and started failure. While Annie tried one round of chemo - her body did not do well with it and it gave out. She was admitted to the hospital on September 25th and celebrated making it to her 49th birthday on September 26th. She passed on the morning of September 27th.
Annie had made peace with what was happening and was making jokes until the end. What she wanted most was to make sure her son was taken care of and that people wouldn't be pained from her passing. Her wishes are to be cremated and have a celebration of life.
The proceeds from this funding will be put towards paying off any of her estate needs, the celebration, and anything else to go to her son in the hopes that he will have a travel fund to visit all the places Annie had intended to go with him. At the request of Andrew, a portion of funds will be used to make a donation to Hockey Fights Cancer in the hope of finding treatments and a cure for breast cancer.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for considering contributing to her estate, to her memory, and to her son. If you would like to be invited to the Celebration of Life (date TBD), please feel free to send your info using the "Contact Organizer" feature on this campaign.
I miss you Annie.
