Ashton’s Heart Failure and RNS Medical Bills

Hello, I am Ashton. I’ve had epilepsy since I was 11 years old. Since September 2022 I’ve had over 8 seizures on three medications.

I had to resign from my job due to my epilepsy in the end of May 2023.

On June 13th I went for an EMU(Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) at doctors retreat hospital in hopes of qualifying for surgery to reduce my uncontrolled epilepsy.

While in the hospital they discovered I was in heart failure. I have been in the hospital for over a week with five new medications on top of the three medications I currently take for my epilepsy.

UPDATE: September 20th 2023 I was able to get RNS brain surgery which is basically a pace maker for my heart to hopefully prevent and end my uncontrolled seizures

This fundraiser will help pay off my Cobra deductible as well as help me pay for all the new daily medications.

My father passed away from heart disease at 58 on Feb 14th 2019, three months later my identical twin sister passed away from SUDEP.
