Assist Brenda Abbey's Family Through Tough Times

Hi, I'm Patricia, I am Brenda's sister-in-law. She unexpectedly passed away 3 days ago due a heart attack. Unfortunately, due to her passing, has left her husband struggling with funeral costs, loss of income, and medical expenses.

She was a ray of sunshine, especially when she was with her grandbabies. She loves being with her family and friends and always wanted to help her family with anything possible.

Brenda and Roland always wanted to help their family and friends, now, Roland could use some assistance during this trying time.

Brenda Church Abbey

Apr 11, 1972 - June 15, 2024

Augusta, GA – Brenda Church Abbey, 52, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024; surrounded by her loving family.

Brenda leaves behind her loving husband, Roland Abbey; her daughters Amber and Allison (Donnell Sr); son, Austin (Honey); six grandchildren, Haylee, Halee, Harleigh, Donnell Jr., Dominic, and Demetri; sister, Barbara (Tate), and her brother, Billy Church Jr. (Karen); nieces, nephews, and many people who knew and loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsa Lisa Church; father, Billy Joe Church Sr.; her brother, Teddy Church; and sister, Shirley Church Walker.

Brenda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was known to help a friend in need and always lended an ear to anyone who needed one.

Brenda was an avid coffee drinker and loved singing “Love Shack” at karaoke. Brenda was on the APA pool league and had many other hobbies. She loved going to the beach and was a menace playing monopoly.

Brenda’s pride and joy were her grandbabies. There was rarely a weekend she didn’t have them over at her house, having her time as grandma.

Brenda’s many accomplishments include but not limited to; her CDL license and CNA license.

Brenda was truly unique and will always be remembered for her kind, generous nature and many great deeds.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 6-8pm at Chance and Hydrick Funeral Home, 2502 Richmond Hill Rd., Augusta, GA 30906. Chapel service is being held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 2:00pm, followed by a graveside service and interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. All are invited to attend.
