Assist Christian in Honoring His Mom’s Memory

please bare with me I’ve never had to do anything like this and I hate asking for help but anything to make this easier on my husband and his sister I will do!

Dear friends, family, and community,

I come to y’all with a heavy heart and plea to support my husband and our family during this hard time .

This morning we got the dreaded phone call that nobody wants to receive , that has completely rocked my husband and his sisters world . Their mother , Sallie Collins has unexpectedly passed away .

Sallie was my husband , Christian(28), best friend. She was the only family that my husband and my sister in law , Kayla (24) had.

It has always just been them 3 their whole lives . She has 3 grandchildren Michael (11) , Lilly (4) , and Violet (2) who unfortunately got their time cut short in spending time and getting to know their grandmother . Sallie was always there trying to help others , put a roof over their head , or give them a plate of food .

No kid should have to bury their parent so soon and early in life.

This is an extremely hard situation for my husband to deal with between the phone calls from the police , the funeral home , and medical examiner and going down to make the arrangements. Honestly he is at a loss on how to even handle it all.

With this being so unexpected we were in no way prepared for the costs . They have no family so this is all on my husbands shoulders. My husband has to take off work to go down to the area in which she passed away and pay for the cremation or burial , whichever he ends up choosing . His sister Kayla lives in New Jersey so we also have to find a way to get her down here so she can say her goodbyes to her mom . I’m a stay at home mom so we solely rely on his income, so this is a very hard time for us .

Your generosity and kindness can really help make this process easier and would greatly be appreciated and I know it will help give them a peace of mind knowing they did right by their mom in death.
