It is with great pain that I write to you all about the tragic passing of my beloved grandmother, Maria Soledad Taveras. My grandmother died in a tragic fire that started in her and my grandfathers apartment, Luciano Taveras, who also passed away, on Tuesday, June 25th.
We are absolutely devastated by Maria and Luciano's passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost for her portion of the funeral service.
As her granddaughter, I have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of her funeral expenses. Our family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral, and during this difficult time, we are reaching out to the community for help. Con gran dolor les escribo para informarles sobre el trágico fallecimiento de mi querida abuela, María Soledad Taveras. Mi abuela falleció en un incendio trágico que comenzó en el apartamento de ella y de mi abuelo, Luciano Taveras, quien también falleció, el martes 25 de junio.
Estamos completamente devastados por la pérdida de María y Luciano, y estamos luchando para encontrar los fondos necesarios para cubrir los gastos de su parte del servicio fúnebre.
Como nieta suya, he iniciado una recaudación de fondos para ayudar a cubrir los gastos funerarios. Nuestra familia no estaba preparada para el alto costo de un funeral, y en este momento tan difícil, estamos recurriendo a la comunidad en busca de ayuda.
