Austin Smith Eagle Scout Project

My Eagle Scout Project will be the establishment of a Butterfly Sensory Garden for the benefit of Bakas Equestrian Center ( Horses for the Handicapped).

The mission of Bakas “is to provide therapeutic horseback riding activities for children and adults afflicted with disabilities across a wide spectrum of physical and mental handicaps. Horseback riding activities include recreational riding, lessons, camps, Special Olympics, riding events and challenge shows. We also provide networking, support and social group settings with the goal of further improving the quality of life for our riders.”

Funds raised will be used to purchase plants, mulch and materials for the garden. Any unused funds raised will be donated directly to Bakas.
