Season’s Greetings. It is with very heavy hearts that we beseech family, friends and humanitarians at large for Prayer’s and assistance with funeral services, medical costs, travel and other incidentals as we prepare to Celebrate the precious Life of Baby Jaxon Amir Harrison.
Jaxon was born May 23, 2022 in Grand Forks, North Dakota 14 weeks prematurely as a 26 week Micro Preemie. Jaxon is the youngest child of Nathaniel Harrison IV and Jatoi Harrison. Jaxon was hospitalized for over 135 days in the NICU and was a NICU Warrior to delight of his parents, family, hospital staff and Everyone that knew of his courageous struggles to survive against the odds. This was very spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially trying on his parents. Their Love and Faith endured as the Newlyweds eagerly anticipated Jaxon’s arrival Home greeted by his parents, siblings, family and friends.
After his brief stay at home, Jaxon was diagnosed with RSV, this devastated everyone, but fortunately he was discharged again and their Faith continued to grow. Tragically on December 4, 2022 , Jaxon encountered another medical emergency with family members praying across the country. This time Jaxon would not return home to his natural parents and was called to be with his Heavenly Father.
Jaxon’s parents appreciate the efforts of everyone to save his precious life. Due to the fact that his parents didn’t have family present to watch the other children, Jaxon never experienced having both of his parents visit simultaneously. During his stay his parents were unable to visit while the battled COVID twice and for obvious reasons were unable to visit him at all. This was challenging for his family, but the hospital staff did their best to comfort and care for Jaxon and keep his parents aware of his progress.
The Harrison’s have experience raising a Micro Preemie with their first son overcoming the odds as a 23 week Micro Preemie, who is now 6 years old. His parents knew of the challenges, but their Faith and success with a son 3 weeks younger gave them so much hope for Jaxon’s chances of survival.
His passing has left a void that Only God can fill. As much as financial assistance is vitally needed Prayer is free and Priceless. Please help this beautiful family return to California to Celebrate Jaxon’s Life and Legacy as they are currently impacted by extreme weather . His parents are determined to be advocates for Micro Preemies and their families. All children have special needs, some children have Exceptional need’s.
Thank You on behalf of Jaxon Amir Harrison and his immediate and extended family.
Hindsight is 20/20 and these are unprecedented times. Variables that weren’t a factor in 2016 with their first Micro Preemie, COVID didn’t exist in this realm, RSV and Flu were not as rampant. In addition Jackson’s parents never asked for monetary assistance. They worked and attended Graduate School in North Dakota. Jaxon’s parents are both Fresno state Alumni’s . His father was a Mountain West football champion who is still working to earn 3 Master Degree’s while his mother has 2 Master Degree’s. They didn’t request assistance despite recommendations of a GoFundMe, in fact they declined. Jaxon wasn’t hospitalized locally which created additional financial costs for housing and other costs for gas and transportation costs soared. Encompassed with paying a mortgage and for short term housing.
Please be Cognizant of the African American Infant and Maternal Mortally crises in our Country. There are no established resources or support for grieving father’s. Please join the crusade to combat these dreadful atrocities and eradicate the premature demise of our most precious Blessing’s, All of Our Babies! No parent wants their children to precede them. Jaxon had a indelible impact on everyone that was Blessed to experience his beautiful smile and astonishing gift to study and observe everything with sheer delight and enthusiasm.
Join us for Prayer and Praise as we Celebrate Jaxon and Thank God for allowing him to survive . God knows we all wanted Baby Jaxon to survive, but we know God didn’t have to allow him to live at all. For that we are Eternally Grateful and We will do our Best to Be with the Lord and Jaxon again.
