On June 20, 2023 my cousin Jamen Krause, 27, was walking down the sidewalk in Aurora, CO when a speeding vehicle doing twice the speed limit ran a red light hitting and launching Jamen over a brick wall and into someone's yard. It is a miracle that he survived this horrific accident that left him with countless internal and structural injuries including a torn aorta, lacerations to his spleen & kidneys, multiple fractures to his pelvis, neck, spine, fractured tibia/fibula/calcaneous bones of the left foot and partial degloving injury to the left arm.

After 7 surgeries in 16 days and 2 1/2 months in 3 separate hospitals, he is now on the road to recovery and trying to rebuild his life.

Jamen's recovery to date has been miraculous however, medical bills are astounding and in excess of $2 million. His health insurance has not been sufficient, the driver was uninsured and he still has a long road ahead. Any funds raised will go into a savings account in Jamen's name to help him in his journey to rebuild his life.
