82 dips for Our Lady's Hospice Harold's Cross

I lost my da a few weeks ago, and to help manage my grief I took to dipping in the sea every day. It occurred to me that maybe if I keep this up a bit longer, it could become something that wasn’t just for my own personal benefit. It could become something that could benefit those who helped my da in his final days, and others going through now, what he went through then.

My da spent the last 82 days of his life in care - 69 in hospital and the final 13 in Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross. The level of care, dignity, kindness and compassion shown to my da, and to us his family, left a very deep and positive impression on me. They made those final 13 days the best and most bearable version that this sad story could be.

It’s a very special place and so in memory of my da and his last 82 days I’ve committed to do a dip a day for 82 days. I started on October 4th, and will finish on December 24th - Christmas Eve.
