Díneh (Navajos) Film, Re-Edits for DVD Publishing

Update: March 2020 - Reset Fund Raising Goal
I had great hopes late last year by spending over $550 to enter film festivals, but unfortunately all of those festival committees did not select my entry of the Big Mountain featured documentary. It is clear to me now that film festivals are competition that favor “samples” of big budgets, latest production technologies and collaboration with paid professionals, and that is what makes “broadcast quality” programs. Personally, I do sense a certain discriminatory factors involved in the selection process like for stories that are authentic and extreme native point of view.
Despite this set back in the promotion of this Díneh featured documentary, I am still determined to re-edit and re-shoot materials. Soon, re-editing will begin and while I ponder on an addendum. Then eventually go forth with DVD publication. DVD container designs are done as that awaits for the final edited version. Research and consideration for community based screenings for later this year and 2021 are in progress.
The lands upon where these traditional natives told their stories still withholds much beauty and hopes for peace and a rebirth of humanity. This legacy of a former land-based culture, my ancestors, it will continued to be seen and heard, and especially for those in the near future.
I am absolutely thankful to those that have Shared this campaign or have contributed thus far. You all have been a blessing!
So now, this fund raising goal is reset to an additional $2,600 more so that, this final stage of post-production can proceed with DVD publishing. In order to do an addendum, dual-layered DVD disks are required which costs more. The simple sleeve and disk prints plus the shrink-wrap and packaging are extra cost as well.
