Big and shiny new Masjids are going up in the affluent suburbs. But in one of Toronto's underprivileged neighbourhoods, a community struggles even to buy an old church for their desperately needed new Masjid & Centre.

They can't do it alone. They scramble to raise the needed funds. Just some way to pay for the property that holds so much potential for the programs and services they so badly need. Ya Allah!

While they struggle, their youth continue to slip away. Families struggle to raise their children upon the deen. Sisters pray in cramped quarters.

This campaign aims to cover 2400 sq. ft. out of the remaining 10,700 sq. ft., in shaa Allah!

Alhamdulillah, Bin Abbas Mosque has been serving an underprivileged neighborhood of Toronto (around Weston / Lawrence W.) for over 20 years, offering spiritual guidance, educational programs and sports activities for youth and all who seek solace and enlightenment within our doors.

However, as our community has grown over the years, we have faced the challenge of limited space within our current mosque. This space constraint is increasingly affecting our ability to provide essential services and support to the growing number of congregants, particularly during important religious events and gatherings. We believe it is our duty to ensure everyone in our community has the opportunity to access the transformative power of faith and communal support.

That is why we have set our sights on acquiring a nearby church that is currently up for sale. This church presents an incredible opportunity for us to expand our reach, serve more people, and create an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome. The church building is spacious and well-suited for our needs, including classrooms for educational programs, parking for community events, and a serene environment for worship and reflection.

To make this dream a reality, we are turning to our beloved community and beyond, seeking your kind assistance in raising the necessary funds. Out of 18,000 square feet, only 10,700 square feet remain to be sponsored at $250 each!

Your generous contribution will enable us to fulfill our mission of fostering spiritual growth and uplifting the marginalized in our society. By providing a larger space for prayer, community gatherings, and various programs, we can enhance the overall well-being and social cohesion of our neighborhood.
