Bitfocus Companion - TP Link TAPO Smartplug module

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to resolve some shortcomings with the current TP Link TAPO Smartplug module. I use six P100’s currently in my venue for power management and it’s been a gamechanger (albeit with some practical limitations). I reached out to Joseph Adams (page mod and active developer for modules for Bitfocus Companion) and he is happy to the convert the Tapo module to Companion v3 API and fix it for US $375 (AU $570)

A lot of us know Joseph and his significant contribution to this platform.

I’m setting up a gofundme for this project. I’m contributing AU $50, which I can justify with my employer. I’m hoping there are enough of you out there that would consider adding to this fund to get the project across the line. If we don’t achieve the goal by the end of April, I will refund all donations. If we exceed the goal, I will forward 100% of all additional funds to the Bitfocus Donorbox. I aim to be completely transparent with this process, I hope this might be able to be adopted for other module development in the future.
