Blindsided by emergency eye surgery

Hi, for those who don't know my name is Sam and I am currently undergoing an eye emergency. I was born prematurely with very complicated eye issues including retinoapthy of prematurity, lazy eye, light sensitivity and astigmatism. My left retina has detached requiring immediate surgery as determined by my recent ER visit. This has left me partially blinded as well as with some rather unpleasant symptoms and I am expecting to need some time off of work while I recover after the operation.

There are also other medical issues which will need regular monitoring and with constant costs rising I am setting this up with the anticipation that I will need to expect the unexpected. Funds will be used to help cover the medical expenses and accompanying bills as costs are already estimated to be in the thousands with the ER visit, lost income, appointments and surgery.
