Bolton Matthews has long been a pillar of the Nashville community. Most of you know him from his world famous chicken served up daily at Bolton's Spicy Chicken and Fish. And let's face it, Bolton's is the best hot chicken. Period.
A few days after Memorial Day, Bolton went to the emergency room for chest pain. They discovered that the pain was actually the result of Stage IV colon cancer. It has already metastasized and spread into his liver. He has begun chemotherapy, and you know expensive that can be. The weekly meds are over $1000 each. This number is posed to increase as other treatments are likely to be explored. Unfortunately, his insurance plan is not equipped for this type of financial burden and he is forced to pay out of pocket. Obviously, they need a lot more than what we are trying to raise.
He and his wife, Dollye, have a 4 year-old baby girl who is the love of his life. She's been in their life since she was 20 months. Bolton fights tirelessly every day because he loves life and his family. He knows they need him.
