A loved one’s death often leaves family and friends wondering how to survive their grief, and how to find joy again in a world transformed by loss. It leaves us in a dark place of confusion, sadness, and even anger. My aunt, Jennifer French, is in this place right now. Her beloved son, Stephen French, is the second son she will be burying. No mother should ever have to experience this heartache once, let alone twice. Stephen was our gentle giant. He would give you a hug that you thought would break your bones, but you also didn’t want him to let go because you felt so secure and safe. Stephen observed more than he spoke. He listened more than he asked, and he always gave more than he received. He was a family man through and through. Our family man. This campaign is to help my aunt with a tragic incident that I do not wish upon anyone.
