Liverpool Football Therapy

I founded Liverpool Football Therapy because of my own struggles with Bipolar and how returning to football at 47 years old completely transformed my life and gave me opportunities I could only ever dream of, I want others to have the same opportunities and most importantly I want to give hope to many others.
LFT host small-sided football sessions throughout Merseyside specifically for adults affected by mental ill health or poor mental wellbeing. Through our sessions we aim to help improve the Physical, Mental, Emotional & Social Wellbeing of all our participants. We achieve our goals through Peer Support on and off the pitch, signposting to other appropriate mental health services and creating a real "Togetherness" and a sense of belonging. With your support we can maintain our two weekly sessions and look at expanding in the near future to help many more people.
We are a not-for-profit organisation, no one at LFT takes a salary, all work done is on a voluntary basis.
We believe that football can be used as a recovery tool or as part of ongoing therapy and companionship for those affected by any form of mental illness. Our service is open to All Abilities and All Genders. With YOUR support we can continue to have a positive impact on many people's lives throughout Merseyside.
