Wheelchair access & Caleb's rare condition fight
Donation protected
My name is Michelle, I am a mum to three beautiful children. Two of which have Autism and ADHD. Caleb is my youngest child and he just wants to do what other children his age are doing.
Due to creating a rare gene at conception (Neurod2) Calebs mobility and functionality are becoming limited. Caleb is one of 8 children in the world with this gene, however the only one of which neither of us parents have it.
We have been working with SWAN to get answers as the knowledge behind it is little. In terms of his everyday life, Caleb is unable to walk for more than a few minutes until he is in agonising pain and unable to walk further.
With limited funding from NDIS, our family is struggling to purchase Caleb a wheelchair and due to other factors of Caleb’s genetic composition and having Autism, we have been advised that a guide/therapy dog would be beneficial to his mental and social development. We are only fundraising for a service dog please note that we are not fundraising for a wheelchair hopefully we can gain this with our ndis we are putting in for a review to try and gain this
Please if you are able to, your donation big or small or sharing Calebs go fund me page would be truly appreciated by our family.
*** Update 05/05/2022 We have found a service dog for Caleb, your sharing of Calebs story would contribute to use being able to obtain this for Caleb. Thank you please share our fundraising link thank you
