Cancer Surgery and recovery for Donald Hillier.

Hey everyone! My name is Tracey King, and I'm Donnie's girlfriend. Anyone who knows Donnie is familiar with his story. Only A few short years ago, Donnie had a near-death experience with liver and kidney failure. He was told there was no chance of survival. His family and friends were asked to say their goodbyes all within hours. But, to the doctors and specialists' dismay, miraculously, Donnie opened his eyes, and from that moment on, Donnie had a painful and long journey back to recovery ahead of him. Learning to walk again was a long road considering he had no strength in his whole body. Finally, after a year of patience, perseverance, and not giving up, Donnie brought himself back to health only to find out shortly after the diagnosis of colon cancer. After many appointments, scans, bloodwork, blood transfusions, and long chemo sessions, he finally has his surgery date. The surgery is not just to remove cancer from the colon; cancer also spread to his gallbladder and lymphatic system, which means removing them and also the appendix. His liver will also be shaved down, along with the hernia being repaired. The surgery will be long and tedious. Post-surgery will consist of a hospital stay, more appointments (in and out of town), and more chemo treatments. It has been tough financially, and with more appointments and travel, Donnie is in for another long and tough haul back to health. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
