Carring for dad. Need some help as not working.

Hi, my name is Maria and I am fundraising for myself as I have become full time care taker for my elderly father.

I had to stop working to care for him and have been denied any assistance. I have lost hope in our systems. 

I help others all the time and now I need some help there's no one to help me. I have no one.

It's been rough for me as I have basically given up my life for the past 8 or so years to care for my aunt who unfortunately has passed on and now my father who will be 91 years old next month.

It's been difficult for me as I have always worked to provide for myself and did what I had to to survive. Now not being able to work to care for my dad, I find myself needing some help of my own and feel there is no one to help me.

I am one who always does for others and helps everyone out. That's just who I am. 

I know there are some good hearted people out there that help others out. I hope I can find someone to assist me though this rough time I'm facing myself.

I have sacrificed so much of my life the past 10 yrs for my Dad and Aunt. Never asked for anything or any help. I just did what I felt needed to be done as my Aunt was here all alone herself and only had me and my dad. Unfortunately see has passed on and I've had a hard time with that as well.

I lost my mom 20 years ago. It's Been tough but I continued to push through to make it each day.

Now as I've had to completely stop working as my father has slowed down significantly with having Macular degeneration and Glaucoma and sight only in right eye with macular right in center of his eye is been difficult for him to get around without the Walker. He can't see out his left eye and can not see close with his right eye. He has taken a few to many falls causing my Anxiety and depression to get worse. I am living each day watching him age and it's truly heartbreaking to watch.

I could go on with other medical issues he has but I won't. Not to mention all the Dr. visits we have to go to.

I pray to God everyday for help, guidance and ways to make it work out to where I can possibly work from home.

I applied for SSA and got denied, I am using my savings right now and eventually will run out soon.

I've swallowed my pride and put this GoFundMe out there for help. I don't know if I'll get any help from it or not. I see people creating them for various reasons from vacations to hardships. I figured I'd good it a try and see what the outcome will be from it.

If you can't just say a prayer for me. I keep hearing people tell me God bless you for what you are doing for your Aunt and Dad. God will bless you and take care of you. You are a good daughter for taking such good care of your father. You're doing a good job. I don't know of anyone else who is doing what you are doing.

I pray that it works out and I get some help. I will keep trying to find a work from home job and keep praying.
