My mother’s funeral expenses

Hello. My name is Tara Stok. I’m writing this because I am in need of raising money for my mother’s funeral arrangements. Her name is Sonia Maldonado. She is currently in hospice and suffering from advanced Alzheimer’s Disease. I was falsely charged with neglecting the care of my mother. These charges were through the Chester County Department of Aging. The charges stem from false reports filed by my ex-boyfriend Fouad Bekheut. I had decided to end my relationship with him and he then weaponized the system as a way to get revenge. His claims painted me out as a monster. And they were all false. In reality, if they were partially true I’d be in jail. He reported to Adult protective services that I had beaten my mother. He claimed that I refused to feed her and that I allowed her to live in a filthy bug infested home that was overrun with garbage and bodily waste. One of his many claims was that I would take my mother’s social security check and go out to bars to drink and get high. He claimed in his reports to the APS that I left my sick mother at home alone while I did all of this. He falsely stated that I never gave my mom a bath or dressed her in clean clothes. His personal attacks on me were so bad that he reported that I would routinely pick up men in bars and either go to motels or bring them home to have sex. Again, none of this was true. The fact is that I cared for my mother in the best way that a daughter could. Alzheimer’s is a horrible condition. We all know that. I clean houses for a living so there were certainly times that I had to work late. Between rent, food and all the other bills, I have had to work many hours. Caring for an Alzheimer’s patient is an around the clock task. Although I was paid for the care I provided to my mom overnight, I had to have aides come in during the day to give her the care she needed. My mom was never neglected in my home. I made sure that she was comfortable. That she was fed, given her medicines and bathed on a regular basis. The house was clean and her bedding was changed on a regular basis. Unfortunately now, my mom is failing. I’m asking for help to allow her to have a proper funeral when she does pass away. In life, before this horrible disease took over her mind and then eventually her body, she was a beautiful, caring woman. She was energetic and alive. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Caring for my mom through these difficult times has been tough but I would do it all again. The reason I am asking for help is that my finances have been depleted given the expenses that proper care required. Thank you all and please know that my mom would thank you as well.
