Have Car Will Travel - Navajo Nation- Covid-19

Donation protected

Friends, family and all the beautiful people in this extended network that are reading this, The Navajo Nation needs our help. Those that know me know that I’ve spent over 10 years praying in ceremonies with various tribes, so this problem is dear to my heart. The Navajo Nation is being hit hard with Covid-19, the top per capita in the US. Living in Arizona, I can’t sit idly by. I’ve teamed up w my lone warrior friend Theron Begay who has made it his personal mission to help his community. He’s been driving supplies out to people and families in remote regions (in AZ, NM, CO and UT) that don’t have the resources (cars) to make it to the donation centers.

I sent a few emails to friends and family and already have 100 KN95’s, 2-22 gallon portable water tanks, 2 gallons isopropyl alcohol, 4 gallons of bleach and still more donations coming in. I didn’t think that was enough so I started this GoFundMe. There's still so much more needed. The Navajo Reservation doesn’t have running water or electricity which creates a huge problem in the fight against Covid-19 and I’d love to raise enough to help power a few homes and possibly bring in an air to water extraction system. Yes, it’s possible to extract water from air, even in arid desert regions.

All donations would be a direct contribution to the Navajo Reservation and helping Theron on his mission, which is to help his tribe. Theres no organizational overhead, it’s just me, my pups and wear and tear on my truck (and self and dogs). I’ll be driving everything up on my own money, renting a trailer if needed and depending on how many runs I need to make, I may need to borrow some gas money (kidding).

Dry goods, non perishables are needed as well but I'm trying to focus on long lasting tools and equipment that will help them through this tragedy and beyond.

Friends, family, readers, this is our pay it forward moment. I know we’re all hurting financially. It’s a global pain but most of us in the US have running water and electricity. The Navajo do not. My goal is set low at $5,000. If 50 people donate even $5-$10, that's anywhere from $250 to $500 that would allow me to help them out. To help bring in resources that will bring fresh water, power and a lasting, life saving change for years to come. Not just a temporary patch. This particular GoFundMe will help transform communities.

I know we can make the goal of $5,000 happen but let’s blow it out of the water because The Navajo Nation needs our help. Regardless of whether or not you can donate, please blast this to all of your friends, family's and social networks. And if you got this far in reading this... Mni Wiconi and Pilamaya, which is Lakota for water is life and THANK YOU!!!

(Random factoid: The Navajo Reservation is roughly the size of Ireland)
