Children in need of school supplies.

Hi my name is Jasmin. I will be running a marathon this coming January.

I am asking those that can to please support my effort to provide much needed school supplies to underserved children in the Philippines.

I would like to share part of my childhood experience.

We were poor. It was hard for my parents to provide us with the basic necessities for school that so many people take for granted. Shoes, uniforms, backpacks, pencils, paper etc.

We watched with envy as other more well to do children came to school with the proper supplies.

There were times we would pick fruit on our way to school to exchange for paper from other students.

Circumstances have not changed for the poorest of the poor children in the Philippines. For most parents, feeding their children is their number one priority. Every child needs a fighting chance, education is that chance. Children should not have to worry about the basics when going to school, they should concern themselves with learning.

It’s my turn to pay it forward. Any consideration on your part is much appreciated.
