To All,

In a world where strength and resilience meet grace and compassion, there exists my remarkable wife Christelle Yaacoub, a person whose vibrancy illuminates every corner of our lives. Her journey took an unexpected turn due to a car accident, but amidst the trials, her unwavering spirit and unfathomable courage continue to inspire. Despite the challenges she faces, her unwavering optimism and enduring kindness remain a testament to her remarkable character and the depth of her inner strength.

On April 28, 2023, a tragic road accident occurred in Saudi Arabia, where we both work. Christelle, who is of Lebanese origin, was returning home from work and In the blink of an eye, a severe car accident forever altered the course of a young girl's life. The collision's devastating impact left her with life-altering injuries, rendering her paralyzed for the rest of her days. when she sustained a severe injury, resulting in a significant incomplete spinal cord injury affecting the C5, C6, and C7 vertebrae.
An operation was performed on her neck in Saudi Arabia on May 2, 2023, and she spent 65 days in the ICU there.
Subsequently, we arranged for her transfer to Beirut via an ambulance airplane to continue her rehabilitation in Lebanon. However, upon evaluation, it was discovered that a mistake had been made during the initial operation in Saudi Arabia. Another surgery was required, which took place on June 30, 2023. Unfortunately, the crucial procedure to address the connection between the C5 and C6 vertebrae had been overlooked.

Currently, Christelle is receiving rehabilitation in Beirut, but the medical experts have recommended that she be moved to an advanced rehabilitation center in Europe, specifically Turkey, to rebuild her muscle strength and overall recovery. Unfortunately, Lebanon lacks the necessary resources for advanced rehabilitation, which includes robotics, the Lokomat, and powered exoskeletons, but these options are available in Europe.

Time is of the essence now. We must ensure Christelle's treatment takes place within the next 1-2 months because the initial 18 months following a spinal cord injury are the most crucial and effective for recovery. We are hopeful that advanced rehabilitation methods such as robotics, stem cell therapy, and tendon transplants may offer her the best chance of walking again.

Despite the daunting road ahead, her unwavering determination and the unwavering support of her loved ones serve as beacons of hope, lighting the way towards a future where her indomitable spirit will undoubtedly continue to shine, proving that even in the face of profound adversity, the human will remains unbreakable.

Christelle is an incredibly kind, hardworking, and loyal individual. Asking for help is not something either of us takes lightly. As her husband, I have done everything within my power to support her.

We would deeply appreciate any contributions, and we kindly ask that you share this message with your family and friends.
