Christine and Clementine need our help

Please help Christine pay for mounting hospital bills, save their small business, and give her and her family the time to grieve.

 

On Sunday, December 5th, Christine Burke's husband, partner, and best friend, Gary McCleery, passed away unexpectedly.

 

This devastating loss came just a couple of weeks after their daughter Clementine returned home from seven weeks in the hospital with a frightening and costly digestive disorder.

 

Christine slept every night by her side, while Gary drove to the hospital in Orange County and back (3 – 4 hours a day) to provide love and support, while maintaining their home and business and caring for their animals. The three were finally home together – just in time for the holidays – when they lost Gary unexpectedly.

 

If you've had the good fortune of knowing Christine and Gary, of taking Christine’s yoga class, or of visiting their Los Angeles studio, Liberation Yoga, you know how special they are – givers of light and love.

 

Together, they fostered a unique and extraordinary community within the hustle of LA, a place to make peace with the body, the mind, and the world. And while Christine continues to seek joy and offer guidance to students and friends, she and Clementine are heartbroken and tremendously overwhelmed.

 

The mounting costs of hospital bills (not covered by insurance) and out-of-pocket specialists for Clem, plus Covid-19's drastic effect on Liberation Yoga, and now deep sorrow, has Christine stretched and stressed beyond what is safe or sustainable.

 

Please consider giving what you can to ease Christine's financial burden, lighten her heavy heart, and allow her and Clem the chance to grieve with less worry.
