Crowd Funding for Abetifi Stone Age Park

My name is Ben Addo, I am 59years old. I am from Abetifi, in the Kwahu East district of the Eastern Region of Ghana. since i was a child, we had this beautiful rainforest in front of our house with a cave where we used to play. I remember seeing alligators, snakes, monkeys, big snails, antelopes and a lot more. There were these huge trees covered with thick canopies. A typical West African rain forest. After 5 years when i came back from abroad i realized how the forest had diminished due to the cutting down of trees and the burning of the forest. I therefore, decided to do something against it. I applied for a permission to take care of a 21 hector forest and started planting trees.
In 2013 the archaeology department of, the university of Ghana, Legon, found out that people were living in the cave 12.500 years ago. As an artist I immediately decided to depict the live at that time with sculptures .
My plan is to build a Stone Age Village in the cave and a centre to exhibit the archaeological findings . Within 6 years,i have been able to build a recreational park on a 4 hectare land with passion, perseverance, the help of my family and friends. i have planted hundreds of trees and flowers, cleared refuse dump and weeds to plant grass, built a 12 seater Bio gas toilet, a restaurant with natural tables and benches, designed the park with walkways, waterfalls, and a car park.
The aim is to invite schools, tourists, and all interested people to have the opportunity to learn from the past and appreciate this beautiful part of nature. I will also create employment and promote tourism in an unknown sector of Ghana. A very important aspect of the park will be (1), a cultural centre with a museum, workshops, offices and a stage . (2)a fence wall-to prevent intruders from evading the land and (3) signages to direct interested people to reach the park easily.
To complete the last steps i seek for financial support to fulfil my dream. i have to set up the stone age centre, build a fence wall and advertise the park worldwide.
if i find enough support i will inaugurate The Abetifi stone age park around Easter 2021 and I am looking forward to opening a space for learning, sharing, relaxing and enjoying.
