Update from Cynthia's Facebook page 4/30 (she encourages us to share): "...re-upped this GoFundMe to help with upcoming hardships I'll be having from being terminated for having cancer, once my FMLA ran out (3 months). When the business is Sovereign, they don't have to ascribe to ADA regulations and continue to pay my insurances (which I was still contributing towards) or hold my job, as any other business would. So now I'm on Medi-Cal and disability, but no job to go back to, and unsure if Medi-Cal will cover the kind of reconstruction I'm going to need, as my scars and chunk of breast tissue missing will both be clearly visible and disfiguring, unless I'm wearing a high neck shirt, which is unusual in Sacramento unless it's winter. Once I'm off of disability, I'll be on unemployment until I can find a job, as going back to a company who turned their back on me for no good reason, is an extreme last resort. Unemployment will barely cover my mortgage, so I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that. If you can help out, it would be immensely appreciated, even if it's just sharing this.
