Guatemala Mission Trip 2024

Greetings from sunny Florida!

I'm currently in my junior year at The King's Academy, and I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of this Christian-based school where the teachings of Jesus Christ are at the core of our beliefs. Here, I'm learning not only how to lead a meaningful life but also how to nurture a deep relationship with Jesus.

I'm excited to share with you that we have a very special mission ahead of us. Our goal is to help families and single mothers in Guatemala by building homes, and I'm thrilled to be part of this endeavor. The funds for this mission have been generously raised by our school community. Half of the money will go towards covering our housing, food, and flight expenses, ensuring we can carry out this mission effectively. The other half of the funds will be allocated for purchasing materials, tools, and other necessary items to construct beautiful homes for families in need.

I draw my inspiration from my mother, who has been a constant source of strength and support as a single parent throughout my life. It is a true privilege for me to participate in this mission, as I feel a deep calling to share the love of God and to experience the profound impact we can make by assisting single mothers, whose daily struggles I can relate to.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the opportunities I've been given and for the support we've received to make this mission possible. It's a testament to the power of faith and community coming together to make a positive change in the world. As we embark on this mission, I look forward to not only helping those in need but also growing personally and spiritually, as I believe that serving others is a powerful way to learn more about ourselves and the world around us.
