Damien Strong! He will beat Cancer!

Update: today we start our new journey. We are leaving to Denver to get pro ops going and transplant is scheduled. They did find a donor for Damien and his transplant is scheduled for mid January. Again, thank you for any prayers and support. I know with the holidays it is hard for everyone. Thank you all for prayers and continued prayers. Hi my name is Mary Ann. I am trying to raise funds to help us on our journey to beat childhood cancer. Damien was Diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia also known as (ALL) on June 13, 2021. Damien has a strong fighting spirit. He lost his daddy two days after his diagnosis due to police brutality in Denver on June 13, 2021. We have been on this journey since then. Damien did go into remission for a year. However, his cancer relapsed in October 2022 and he is now in need of a bone marrow transplant. We have been doing the best we can to stay positive and I have continued to work.

“We” is in reference to my other grandchildren and my daughter whom have all lost a parents/parent. I am trying my hardest to continue to work and take care of everyone until we have to go up to Denver for The Transplant. I have been asked by doctors to stop working now but in all honesty i am trying to put funds aside to help get us through his hospital stay before, during and after The Transplant. They have told us to expect our stay for at least 6 months in Denver Childrens Hospital. I am scared! I am already stretching myself thin with 8-10 day hospital stays and I am already exhausted. We have been told to refer anyone wanting to see if they are a match for bone marrow donation to beamatch.org. I am sorry that I have to go this route I just don’t know how we are going to do this. Thank you for any people getting on the Bone Marrow Donation list, Financial help and the many prayers. I know everyone is going through something right and My prayers go out to the world for peace and healing. Thank You all for hearing me
