Hi everyone. On 9/27/23, I had a colonoscopy and they found a tumor. This week, on 10/2/23 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. As of this writing I do not know what stage it is in, but I am told it has spread to my stomach and pancreas. I will know more information when I speak to my oncologist on 10/10. 

I am starting this fundraiser because I am the only real breadwinner in the apartment and we have been living paycheck to paycheck. I have already missed work because of doctor appointments etc, and I only see myself missing more work as my treatment progresses. Though Jen does get her SSI check, it is not enough to cover rent, bills, gas and whatever may come our way. 

On the 14th, I will have to pay the remainder of the rent for this month, which comes to about $400 plus late fees. I also need to figure out a way to get my electric bill paid, as well as other things as I prepare to undergo cancer treatment.

Edit: SSI still has not approved my disability. Jen still has her disability, which covers the rent but not much else. I'm at my wits end trying to figure out how to deal with this. 
 
Edit: SSA has updated my application to stage 4, wherein one of their employees will be reviewing the non disability part of my claim to determine if I still qualify. According to the website, this step can take 15 to 30 days to complete. meanwhile, bills are still due and creditors are calling me on the daily. If you can donate anything, please, please do so. every cent counts at this point, and we have run out of other options.
