Champion dancer Niamh requires scoliosis treatment to dance

Donation protected
Hi my name is Helen Jones and I am raising funds to help my dance student Niamh Russell.

A few days ago it was discovered that Niamh has severe scoliosis, a curvature of the spine.
Unfortunately Niamh’s is a double curvature, top 42% and bottom 38% we need to act fast as it will worsen drastically very quickly.

They were told that Niamh would immediately need to be in a brace for 22hours per day, affecting her life as a dancer and even after 8 months of bracing, surgery would be required.
This surgery is invasive and has a very long recovery.

This has come as a massive shock for her Mum and Niamh, at only 11 years old getting that news that she would need surgery and need to learn how to walk again, or even ever dance again- sadly this situation has massively affected her and left her very distressed with the fear of the unknown.
Praying for direction Niamh’s mum has been searching for alternative methods to help her daughter.

There are alternative therapy’s with a 90% success rate in reducing curvature enough to prevent surgery!!!!!

The weekly chiropractic appointments are seen as alternative treatments and not covered by NHS or insurance, so this is all out of the question for Niamh’s mum, a single parent with 3 beautiful children who gives her everything for her kids to dance.

Any funds raised will be used for an initial consultation and alternative treatment ASAP moving forward, it’s going to be a long process but we are willing to fight, fund raise and do everything we can for her.

Niamh is one of the best students I have ever taught, she is incredibly talented and her dream is to become a professional dancer, which with professional help I’ve no doubt she will be extremely successful with achieving her dreams.
She began dancing at the age of 3 and at only 11 years old she’s already achieved so much in the dance world with many titles under her belt.

The recommended surgery will restrict her movement, flexibility, and jeopardise her passion for dance therefore we want to try everything we possibly can to avoid surgery.

Thank you very much for the support, love and prayers, any help is very much appreciated by our beautiful Niamh, her mum Rachel and our dance family who are behind her every step of this journey ahead of her.
