Love & support for Darcy and family
Donation protected
Darcy Richardson is a fun-loving 24-year old from San Antonio, TX…everyone who knows her calls her “the sweetest person you have ever met”, and a friend to anyone that has crossed paths with her. She is incredible with kids, and has always had a special touch with them.
Her life as an adult was on track as she was prepared to graduate at the end of this year with a teaching degree. All of these plans were put on hold when she went into University Hospital for a routine jaw surgery on February 1, 2016. That fateful day, her youthful body endured the unthinkable…something went horribly wrong with the anesthesia, and Darcy went with very low oxygen levels for too long. This young woman went into a 3 hour surgery thinking she would be home by the evening…and she has not woken up since. Darcy is still in a coma…while she does have brain activity, her future prognosis and exact recovery time is unknown. The known variable is that Darcy’s condition will require extensive medical care….assistance beyond what her insurance can handle. She is not even three months into her care, and her insurance coverage is on the verge of being maximized.
We are asking for the help of anyone and everyone…please help her family, and most importantly help Darcy by raising money for her future care. We are in the early stages of understanding what kind of monetary needs this means, so anything will help for the time being.
Darcy would be the first to give the shirt off of her back to help a stranger, so please find it in your heart to give to her cause. We need her to wake up, and we need our Darcy back with us…this cannot happen without the best possible medical care! If you aren’t able to provide financially, please keep her in your prayers each day. We believe in the strength of prayer, and specifically ask that you pray to Padre Pio for his help with her health and recovery.
Thank you, and God Bless.
