DeAnna's Brain Tumor journey

Hello everyone - I am DeAnna's son and I am putting together this GoFundme to assist her with the inevitable expenses that are about to occur with her recent brain surgery and recovery path.

Many may know that DeAnna had recently relocated to Utah to be with her dad back in May. Within a few days of being there - she suffered a massive seizure. While examining the cause -they noted a small mass in her brain during the MRI. They weren't sure if it was of concern, so they chose to monitor it. The follow-up MRI showed it still there so they scheduled a November 7th follow-up MRI.

On October 31st, my mom complained of bad headaches, nausea and an intense ringing in her ears. So she went to the ER. They did a CT and noted some ventricle movement, so an MRI was completed, where they found that the unsure mass had grown significantly (twice as large) and had moved the center line over. They moved her into ICU at McKay-Dee in Roy, UT.

After discussions with the neuro team, they decided it best to move her to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. On November 3rd, she underwent surgery. The surgery was successful because the tumor had been completely removed (Praise God). However, the initial diagnosis is a high-grade Glioblastoma.

These are difficult brain cancers. And will require a very aggressive treatment plan and many of God's hands of healing. Treatments will include chemo and radiation and, hypothetically, a trial.

Here is where you all come in - Since coming to Utah - the home she has is not set up to be a good spot, nor is my grandfather in a condition to be a caretaker for her in the short term. We want to get her closer to the facility for her therapies and appointments. We have secured an Airbnb nearby and will allow her partner to be there with her (he's still in Montana usually), enabling him to take care of her.

My mother is on Medicaid, and while it's a great plan in Utah - not everything can be covered. So we are going to be chipping in. Any help you provide will go toward housing, potential un-covered expenses and general comfort. Every dollar will be used to help my mom get through this time.
