Deborah's medical and living expenses

Hello, my name is Rachelle and I am fundraising for my sister in law who has been struggling with significant health challenges for the past 8 months.  Multiple teams of physicians have been unsuccessful in properly diagnosing. This has lead to their inability to successfully treat her condition. Deborah has had multiple hospitalizations this year due to her unidentified primary condition as well as multiple secondary infections due to her suppressed immune system that most recently caused sepsis throughout her body. Deborah is slowly gaining her strength but is still too ill to carry out all her daily living activities without assistance from family members and is unable to return to work.

Prior to her illness Deborah has always been a person full of life and love. She has spent the past 8 years as a Peer Support Specialist helping those that struggle with substance use and mental health challenges. Assisting them in positively altering their lives and the lives of their families by supporting, guiding, encouraging, and mentoring them while also providing them with key resources to overcome the obstacles and barriers they face. Most importantly she believes in them even in the darkest moments of their life. Deborah is always ready day or night to be there to comfort and support anyone in need and is the most unselfish and selfless person I have ever known, she truly has a heart of gold and will give her all to help others no matter what she loses in return.

However, now Deborah is facing significant physical and financial difficulties that have lead to a great emotional impact on her life. Now she finds herself as the one needing help and support in order to continue on her journey of medical testing, treatment and healing. At this time we are unsure of how long Deborah will be unable to work and desperately need help to assist her with medical costs and living expenses so that at least one burden is removed or reduced so that she is able to focus on upcoming testing and procedures and her journey to recovery.
