Debt from addiction! (Read below)

Oh so this is potty, basically I’m an addict! Not an alcoholic or a drug addict but a shopaholic, a real shopaholic! I HAVE to buy things to make myself feel better. I am in therapy and getting the help I need psychologically, however I have unfortunately amassed a great deal of debt prior to getting this help.

Shopping and eating had always been ways for me to feel better about things, a mask I put on to prevent me from facing up to deeper issues. This got much worse after the loss of my Grandmother & as I became more depressed I relied on buying more & more to make me happy, a release of dopamine that’d thrust me out of the dumps to a happy place of only for a while.

I realise that this may come across as me being rather entitled and I apologise for that, unfortunately my family are not in a position to assist me financially. I therefore ask for the kindness of strangers to assist me, I can & am beating this addiction through syrength of will, but damage has already been done & that is what I really need your help with.

I need you to help save me from a life in debt.
