Support for Deontay’s family in a tragic loss

I am writing to request funding due to the tragic loss of my brother, Deontay, who was senselessly murdered on June 11, 2024, at 4:22 PM on Aisquith. It deeply pains me to share this, especially considering the struggles Tay faced with mental health issues. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and the last few months had been particularly challenging for him.

Deontay’s journey was a difficult one. Baltimore City Public Schools failed to provide the necessary support, and the government did not approve the crucial medication he needed for his mental health. Despite these challenges, Deontay never resorted to becoming a product of his environment. His only "crime" was living with mental health conditions, which ultimately led to his untimely death.

Our family is heartbroken and now faces the daunting task of giving Deontay the dignified farewell he deserves. We are reaching out for any help at this time to cover the costs of his burial and memorial. We want to honor Tay with a day of great celebration of his life and the person he was.
