Dig deep for Damo

Damian Smith is the loving husband to Kristy, father to Jordan, Savannah, twins Hudson & Airlie and little baby Vida. You couldn’t find a more devoted father, or a man with a bigger smile.

He has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and is currently undergoing lengthy and intense treatment.

 

Damo loves a challenge, and in true fashion, he’s met this one head on with the strength of the Cowboys Frontline or a Tamper Bay Linebacker.

 

Damo is a top bloke who’s been thrown a curly one and could do with our support.

So you’re asking what you can do?

Well Damo’s family and workplace have organised this fundraiser to help with living expenses;
he does have some salary continuance cover in the wings, but the shitty thing is this is paid 1 month in arrears after a 3 month qualifying period. That means he’s got to cover 4 months worth of rent, bills and food for half a soccer team.

 

Not many of us would have 4 months worth of leave or savings set aside if we found ourselves in this situation, and so we’re passing the hat around to help them through this time and make things a little easier for them all.

 

Damo loves being the provider and he loves to help others. We all want to see them get through this challenge and a little help from those around him would take that pressure off his shoulders allowing him to focus on the fight.

He loves his family, his friends, his work and his selfie’s. He loves everything aviation, speedway, league, gridiron, the gym…basically any sport you can point him at.
