Direct Aid for Ukrainian Orphans

Donation protected
As the conflict in Ukraine continues to escalate, Ukrainian orphans are in danger.

Explosions and violence have forced thousands of orphans to flee in search of safety with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Many of these children have been injured on their journey. Others are critically unwell. They all urgently need our help.

The Charodiyka Foundation is a humanitarian organization on the ground in Ukraine, evacuating children to safety, providing life-saving medical supplies and warm winter clothes. Charodiyka was founded after the first war with Russia to provide support to orphanages across the country. There are currently more than 1000 orphans under Charodiyka's care, living in temporary housing in Lviv, including a large number of special-needs children.

Volunteers are working day and night to help keep these children safe. But more supplies are needed now.

Just $30 could ship 8 pairs of sturdy winter shoes to help keep orphans warm.

$90 could purchase and ship 300 bandages for wound care to treat injured children.

When Russia invaded Ukraine in February, our family in Los Angeles, California connected with Nataliya Stepanenko, the president of Charodiyka. We immediately began a drive to raise funds and purchase the supplies they need. Importantly, we have confirmed that our shipments of goods and transfers of money are making it through to Ukraine. Although there are many excellent international aid organizations helping in this conflict, most humanitarian aid at this time is limited to work with refugees or on the borders outside the country, due to the active violence and bombing.

Our connection with Charodiyka allows us to send aid directly to orphans in need in Ukraine.

All the money raised by this campaign will be used to purchase desperately needed goods. We are working in partnership with our friends at Growing Minds in Woodland Hills,  California, who are organizing a Direct Aid Drive where volunteers will prepare packages of goods. We are also partnering with MEEST to ship this humanitarian aid to Lviv, Ukraine.

In the second week of March 2022, Charodiyka successfully evacuated an additional 30 children from a shelter that was bombed in Kharkiv. Many of the children suffered burns when they were buried under the rubble.

Please act now and help keep Ukrainian orphans safe. Your support will make a real difference.
