Directly supporting Palestinian families in West Bank & Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Gary, an independent cross-party advocate on Palestine in the UK Parliament. This fundraiser has been put together after I received messages from several different Palestinian friends and colleagues who are all struggling to survive in both Gaza and the West Bank. This fundraiser will go directly to support these Palestinian families in the West Bank and Gaza in the hopes of helping them through these most devastating of times.
There is now a widespread admission by most governments around the world that Humanitarian assistance and aid is being systematically blocked and aid workers prevented from entering Gaza. In the West Bank the economic situation, coupled with constant Israeli military raids and incursions, alongside home demolitions, land theft and ethnic cleansing, have meant Palestinian families are struggling to cling onto their lands and feed their families. The situation in Gaza has no more words that can adequately describe it, the humanitarian aid that does get through is insufficient, with malnutrition, starvation and disease causing further deaths, especially among children and the elderly.
Donations will be securely transferred to members of these Palestinian families who have come forward seeking financial assistance and will also be used to assist additional individuals and families who are in need upon verification.
Some of the families are located in the densely overcrowded areas of Gaza that have been designated as 'humanitarian zones', having been displaced multiple times by Israel and at constant risk of Israeli bombardment. Other families are farmers located in the West Bank who have had their property destroyed, including their vital water supplies via wells and pumps in the Jordan Valley.
Raising funds in this manner provides a vital lifeline to Palestinians in desperate need of basic necessities such as food, medicine, and hygiene items. This is a secure way of providing aid whilst also giving a boost to all Palestinians in need by demonstrating that we stand with them in support and solidarity. It also means that aid being provided is not made 'conditional' and that Palestinians themselves can determine how best to manage the funds provided in order to secure their continued survival.
Please share this fundraiser widely with friends, colleagues and family. Together we can help our Palestinian brothers and sisters through these darkest of times.
