Donating in honor of Matilde Garcia Cardona

Dear Friends and Community,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help in honoring the memory of our dear friend, Matilde Garcia Cardona. Matilde passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and an open heart. Throughout her life, she was always there for others, whether through cooking meals for friends or lending a caring hand to anyone in need. She lived a life of quiet compassion, always giving, always loving.

Matilde did not have blood relatives to assist with her final expenses, and while the city graciously covered the cost of her burial, they do not provide for a name plaque. We feel it is important to place a plaque at her grave so that her resting place can be easily recognized and visited by the many friends whose lives she touched. This small gesture will ensure that her memory continues to live on and that we all have a place to visit and remember the joy and love she brought into the world.

We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of the plaque so that Matilde’s name is permanently honored. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us reach our goal.
