Hermitage Tornado Relief
In the early morning hours of March 3rd, an EF-3 tornado touched down in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Multiple fatalities were reported and hundreds of homes and structures were destroyed. Some of the worst damage occurred in my hometown of Donelson and Hermitage. Hundreds of people are now left scrambling for a place to live, transportation, storage, and everyday supplies. While there are millions in donations coming in to support the areas of downtown, there’s not a lot coming in for the people on the outskirts of the city. Entire communities of apartment complexes are now fighting for housing in a city that was overcrowded to begin with. Many of them will be forced to move outside the county, but they have lost their vehicles to the tornado as well.
