Down Syndrome Prizren Kosova - is facing shutdown

The center of the Down Syndrome Kosova Association in Prizren is the only center in the region of Prizren which offers therapeutic services for children and youth with Downsyndrome. Besides providing all direct services to the community with Down syndrome, it has also a very importantrole in the protecting and realization of the rights, not only forthe community with Down syndrome but generally for all thepeople with disabilities by taking various initiatives which have influenced the creation and advancing policies at the local level.

 

Down Syndrome Kosova Center offers therapeutic services for people with Down syndrome and other disabilities, services which support people with Down syndrome in developing their potential and prepares them for an independent life and also forthe labor market.

Every service offered by the center is free of charge!

Even though all the services for the people with DownSyndrome are free of charge, it costs too much to the center. The high cost of services, the growing number of members, the circumstances created by the pandemic have influenced the creation of the situation where services are in danger of being interrupted for people with Down syndrome and otherbeneficiaries with disabilities inside the center of Down Syndrome in Prizren.
