I am reaching out to you on behalf of Dr. Joe and his beautiful family. Joe, a loving husband to Kerry (Duffin) & father of four, has been courageously fighting glioblastoma, a relentless form of brain cancer. Despite his unwavering strength and determination, this journey has taken a toll on both him and his family.

As many of you know, Joe has always been the backbone of his family, working hard to provide for his loved ones. Unfortunately, due to the nature of his illness, Joe is unable to work, leaving the family facing not only emotional challenges but also significant financial burdens.

About Dr. Joe:

Joe has been a trusted sports medicine doctor in the Philadelphia Metro area for over two decades. Born and raised in Overbrook, Philadelphia, Joe is a dedicated individual who has made significant contributions to his community. After graduating from Central High, he pursued his undergraduate studies at Temple University, excelling both academically and athletically in football until a career-ending knee injury altered his path. This adversity sparked a transformative decision, leading him to change career pursuits and ultimately become a sports medicine doctor. Joe went on to earn his MD from Hahnemann University in 1996, driven by a passion to help others overcome physical challenges. His impact extends beyond the clinic, as he has served as the team doctor for Haverford High School Football and Saint Pius X Football, influencing the lives of young athletes. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Joe was recognized as one of Philadelphia Magazine's Top Doctors in 2023, and one of the Top Doctors of the Mainline and Western Suburbs in 2022.

In times of need, we often turn to those who have been our pillars of strength. Dr. Joe, a dedicated medical professional in our community, has been that pillar for many. Whether it was a sprained ankle from a CYO basketball game or a broken bone from a high school football game, he has selflessly served and helped countless individuals in times of need. Now, it’s our time to support Joe and his remarkable family.
